• What is the OASIS? ▲

  Overall Assistance for Startup Immigration System (OASIS) is a program operated by Global Startup Immigration Center designated by the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Small and Medium Venture Businesses.

• What is the cost of the OASIS classes? ▲

  OASIS is free of charge.

• What are the qualifications to participate in the OASIS? ▲

  OASIS is divided into technology-based and trade-based processes. Technology-based startups are business items that can be patented, and Trade-based startups can be supported by foreigners who want to sell Korean products overseas. However, you cannot do restaurants, wholesale, retail, etc. in both VISA.

• VISA Period ▲

  The start-up preparation visa (D-10-2) can be issued for up to two years(six months of 4 times), and the technology start-up visa (D-8-4) is issued during the business for one year every year. The trade visa (D-9-1) is extended by one year each year depending on the trade performance.

• When to participate in OASIS ▲

  When participating in OASIS, foreign start-ups can participate when they are ready for the business by specifying the tech-based business item. Technology start-up visa (D-8-4) recommends that business items are specific and prototypes are prepared to some extent Trade Visa (D-9-1) recommends a specific status for local market research and domestic sales products.

• OASIS Supporting and Investment ▲

  OASIS is supported mainly by early start-ups and visa support for foreign start-ups. Investment in commercialization funds, etc., connect connected institutions (VCs) according to the readiness of business items to help them succeed in the business.

• Startup Equity intakes ▲

  OASIS does not acquire a stake in a foreign operator.

• Visiting counseling ▲

  If you send us your business item, current business status, current visa, and consultation details by email (OASIS@kpc.or.kr), we will check the contents and send you the location and time of the consultation by email. Oasis does not consult on VISAs.

• Validity of OASIS Certificate ▲

  There is no separate expiration date for the Oasis certificate. However, it can be changed according to future policies.

• Customized programs (organizations, institutions, schools, governments) ▲

  OASIS is a program to support foreign domestic startups. For groups that wish to start a business in Korea, such as organizations, institutions, schools, and the government, please send us an email (OASIS@kpc.or.kr) and we will contact you after reviewing it. The period, place, and content of Oasis education can be customized according to the consultation.
